Payment Methods

Your purchase at Ninho do Tejo is protected by secure, certified payment systems that are widely used in Portugal. You can choose whichever method is most convenient for you when completing your order.

Multibanco (MB Reference)

Available for all orders. After completing your purchase, a Multibanco reference will be generated for you, with the corresponding entity and reference. You can make the payment at any Multibanco ATM or through your bank's website.

Your order is processed as soon as we receive automatic confirmation of payment. The deadline to complete payment is 3 days after the order is placed. If the deadline passes, the order is automatically cancelled and the items become available for sale again.

MB WAY

For immediate payments without the need to enter bank details. Simply provide the mobile number linked to your MB WAY app and confirm the payment directly in the app. Your order is processed immediately after confirmation.

Debit and Credit Card

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express. Payments are processed through the secure Shopify Payments system, with SSL encryption and 3D Secure validation where applicable. Your bank details are never stored in our systems.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

For immediate payments from your phone or computer, without manually entering card details. If you use Apple devices, you can pay with Apple Pay; on Android devices or in the Chrome browser, through Google Pay. Payment confirmation is processed immediately, through your device's biometric recognition or passcode.

Local European methods

For orders delivered to certain European Union countries, local methods widely used in those countries may appear automatically at the payment stage — namely Bancontact (Belgium), MobilePay (Denmark and Finland) and Klarna. These methods appear only when applicable to the delivery country; in Portugal and Spain, the methods listed above remain available.

Security

All payments made at Ninho do Tejo are processed through certified platforms that comply with the international PCI-DSS security standards. Transactions are encrypted and your personal and banking data are protected at every stage of the process.

Invoicing

An electronic invoice is issued for each order in accordance with Portuguese tax legislation, sent by email after payment confirmation. If you need an invoice with a tax identification number, you must provide it when completing your purchase. It is not possible to add the tax number to an invoice that has already been issued.
