Payment Methods

Your purchase at Ninho do Tejo is protected by secure, certified payment systems widely used in Portugal. You can choose whichever method is most convenient at checkout.

Multibanco (MB Reference)

Available only to customers with a Portuguese bank account.

After completing your purchase, you will be given a Multibanco reference with the corresponding entity and reference number. You can pay at any Multibanco ATM or through your bank's website.

Your order is processed as soon as we receive automatic payment confirmation. The deadline for completing payment is 3 days after the order is placed. If the deadline passes, the order will be automatically cancelled and the items will return to stock.

MB WAY

Available only to customers with a Portuguese MB WAY app (linked to a Portuguese mobile number and bank account).

For instant payments with no need to enter banking details. Simply provide the mobile number linked to your MB WAY app and confirm the payment directly in the app. Your order is processed immediately after confirmation.

Debit and Credit Card

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express. Payments are processed through Shopify Payments' secure system, with SSL encryption and 3D Secure validation where applicable. Your banking details are never stored on our systems.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

For instant payments from your phone or computer, with no need to manually enter card details. On Apple devices you can pay with Apple Pay; on Android devices or in the Chrome browser, via Google Pay. Payment is confirmed immediately, via biometric recognition or your device's passcode.

Security

All payments made at Ninho do Tejo are processed through certified platforms in compliance with international PCI-DSS security standards. Transactions are encrypted, and your personal and banking data are protected at every stage of the process.

Invoicing

For each order, an electronic invoice is issued in compliance with Portuguese tax law and sent by email after payment confirmation. If you need an invoice with a tax number (NIF), please enter the tax number at checkout. It is not possible to add a NIF to an invoice once issued.
