About Orders

How do I place an order?

Browse our shop, select the items you'd like and add them to the basket. At checkout, you'll be asked for your shipping details and payment method. After confirmation, you'll receive an email with a summary of your order.

Can I modify or cancel an order I've already placed?

It's possible to modify or cancel an order as long as it has not yet been dispatched. To do so, please contact us as soon as possible at geral@ninhodotejo.pt, quoting your order number.

Do I receive order confirmation?

Yes. You'll receive an automatic email with a summary of the order as soon as it is finalised, and a second email with the shipping tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched.

About Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

Costs vary by delivery area:

Mainland Portugal: €5.00. Free shipping from €75.

Madeira and the Azores: €13.00. Free shipping from €100.

Spain (Mainland): €5.50. Free shipping from €75.

Spain (Balearic Islands): €11.50. Free shipping from €100.

How long does delivery take?

The total estimated time, including preparation and delivery, is as follows:

Mainland Portugal: 2 to 4 working days

Madeira and the Azores: 3 to 7 working days

Spain (Mainland): 3 to 6 working days

Spain (Balearic Islands): 5 to 9 working days

Orders confirmed by the end of the working day are prepared on the same day or the next working day. In periods of higher demand or for more remote areas, there may be some variation.

Can I track my shipment?

Yes. As soon as your order is dispatched, you'll receive an email with the courier's tracking number.

Do you ship outside Portugal?

Yes. In addition to Mainland Portugal and the Islands (Madeira and the Azores), we also ship to Spain — Mainland and the Balearic Islands. We are exploring expansion to other European countries, which may become available in the future.

Do orders to Spain carry Portuguese VAT?

Yes. As a Portuguese company operating under the intra-Community regime, we apply Portuguese VAT to all our orders, regardless of the delivery area within the European Union.

About Returns and Exchanges

Can I return an item?

Yes. You have 30 days from receipt of the order to request the return of any item, provided it is in its original condition, with tags and packaging intact. To start a return, please contact us at geral@ninhodotejo.pt.

Who covers the return costs?

In the case of a manufacturing defect or an error on our part, we cover the return costs in full. In all other cases, the costs are borne by the customer, but we'll be glad to suggest the most economical shipping method.

How long does the refund take?

After we receive and inspect the returned item, the refund is processed within 14 working days at the latest, using the same payment method as the original purchase.

Can I exchange for another size or colour?

Yes. Exchanges follow the same procedure as returns. We recommend placing a new order for the desired item in parallel, to secure its availability.

About the Items

Are the items new?

All items available at Ninho do Tejo are new, original, and selected directly from premium European suppliers.

Do the sizes match the baby's age?

The sizes shown (1M, 3M, 6M, 12M, etc.) are a guide. Each baby has their own growth curve. If in doubt, we recommend consulting the size chart available on each item or contacting us directly.

How should I care for the pieces?

Specific care instructions are shown on each piece and in the product descriptions. In general, we recommend a low-temperature wash (up to 30 °C), no fabric softener, and air-drying to preserve the natural fibres.

Are the materials safe for the baby?

Our curation favours suppliers that use natural materials and responsible manufacturing processes. Specific compositions and certifications are listed in the description of each item.

Who is behind the brand?

Ninho do Tejo is a Portuguese brand, based in Azeitão, founded with the purpose of offering a rigorous curation of premium pieces for babies and children. Every piece is hand-picked with care.

Do you have a physical shop?

For now we operate exclusively online. If you'd like to see a particular piece in person, please contact us so we can explore the possibility together.
